Marathon Targets.
“ATP Innovations has provided the right support, advice and networking opportunities that have been critical for our business in its formative stage. The depth and quality of service from ATP Innovations has been invaluable in helping us reach our biggest milestone to date.”
Dr Alex Brooks, CEO, Marathon Targets.
Often you only get one shot to build a team. ATP Innovations helped make it count.
Marathon Targets specialises in innovative robotic technology solutions for live-fire sniper training.
The company spun off from the Australian Centre for Field Robotics at the University of Sydney, a partner in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Autonomous Systems.
Prior to establishing itself at the National Innovation Centre, Marathon Targets started working with ATP Innovations Director Andrew Stead, to develop an executable business plan around their robotic innovation.
This early engagement with ATP Innovations, as well as developing the relationship and aligning focus, provided the company with direction and early stage momentum. Together the plan has been tracked, and key milestones to date have included receiving a COMET grant which has enabled the company to identify and attract a US based Chairman with strong links to the US Defense Forces which has been instrumental in their recent $50 million contract with the US Marine Corps. The COMET funding has also facilitated other key resources.
Through ATP Innovations support, Marathon Targets has fast tracked success resulting in a strategically critical and prestigious contract with the US Department of Defense.
