Ways to conduct your research to allow for commercial outcomes
A review of IP processes and practices in universities, including the story of Enikos. The company is a spin out from the Smart Internet CRC and University of Wollongong and has developed the Enhanced Media Platform a dynamic format agnostic video advertising platform, when used for video advertising it permits the user to simultaneously interact with an ad and watch the video without interrupting the users video experience.
Paths to commercialisation
What is the best path to commercialisation – selling, licensing and start-up? The Tech Transfer process. How do you value early stage technology business opportunities, where do you seek investment, and what is optimum for your business opportunity? Company success stories will illustrate different commercial models.
What is IP?
And what it is not, how do you protect your cutting edge ideas and extract full IP value.
Includes a practical case study and workshop to help you understand how intellectual property works and its importance in commercialisation.
Taking your ideas to market
A business plan provides a roadmap and checkpoints on your commercialisation journey. In this session we cover the essential elements of a business plan to get you thinking about yours.
You have identified a technology but is there a market for your product? Who is going to buy it and how much will they pay? This session will give you insights into validating the need and size of the market for your technology.

This workshop is open to postgraduate students and final year undergraduate students, there are limited places so make sure you get in quick!
