The management team at ATP Innovations are highly experienced business builders. With expertise across a broad range of disciplines, they are able to quickly and effectively add value to your venture.

 

Over the last five years we have worked with more than 80 businesses on capital raising, building teams, accessing grants, developing new products, growing revenue and selling businesses.

 

 

 


 

Hamish Hawthorn

Chief Executive Officer

Hamish has served as the CEO of ATP Innovations since 2007. His extensive business networks span all areas of technology, and he has a proven track record in building early-stage businesses. He has led capital raisings and strategic investments for a number of companies and serves on the boards of several portfolio businesses.

 

Prior to joining ATP Innovations in 2005, Hamish held senior roles in business development and strategy. He was the Director of R&D for the leading custom automotive wheel manufacturer, where he ran product development programs for race and road applications.

 

Hamish holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Sydney, a Master of Business and Technology from the University of New South Wales, and completed the Executive Program for Growing Companies at Stanford University. Hamish is a Visiting Fellow at the University of New South Wales and was the recipient of the Faculty Entrepreneur Award in 2009.

Ben Wright

Director, Commercial Development

Ben has worked in the commercialisation space for nearly 15 years and joined the ATP Innovations team in 2010.  He has held research and management positions in numerous life science businesses, gaining significant experience in research & development, clinical trials, business development, operations, and the financial management of both private and ASX listed biotechnology and medical device companies. Ben has also launched two successful small businesses of his own since 2005.

 

Ben is a co-founder of the Ignition Labs seed accelerator program and works across the entire ATP Innovations portfolio, assisting life science, engineering and ICT client companies with business strategy, capital raising and customer development.

 

Ben has a Bachelor of Science (Biological Sciences) from the University of Western Sydney, a Graduate Diploma of Biomedical Engineering from the University of New South Wales and has completed a Venture Capital Executive Program at the University of California Berkeley.

Petra Andren

Director, Strategy and Business Development

Petra is an experienced corporate strategist and business developer. She has broad international networks and work experience from holding senior strategy consulting, business development and executive roles in Europe, the US and Australia. Prior to joining ATP Innovations, Petra was the Executive Director and Country Manager Australia and New Zealand for the Swiss global biopharmaceutical company Octapharma.

 

Petra works across ATP Innovation’s portfolio, assisting companies throughout their life cycle. She is the founder of Australia’s first Biohackathon, a yearly competition taking a multidisciplinary approach to problem solving in the life science space.

 

Petra holds a Master of Arts (Linguistics, Bioethics and Economics) from the University of Uppsala, Sweden; an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a Financial Analysis Certificate from the University of Technology, Sydney. Petra is also a lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the University of Sydney Business School.

Malcolm Hebblewhite

Director, Business Development

Malcolm has over 20 years of technical and international business experience in consumer and medical product design, development, sales, and marketing. He has held product development and R&D roles with Nokia Mobile Phones and ResMed, where he was an early member of the team that drove the company towards an IPO and dominance as the leader in the global sleep disordered breathing market. Malcolm also held executive roles in business development, marketing and M&A for ResMed across three continents before founding several start-ups.

 

Malcolm works to ensure ATP Innovations maintains a strong pipeline of new opportunities by identifying promising companies and technologies, and providing support and mentoring to maximise the growth and success of the portfolio.

 

Malcolm holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace) with Honours from the University of NSW, an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a Diploma of Fine Arts from the Newcastle Art School.

Reba Moyes

Director, Startups

Reba has a unique background in roles spanning manufacture and creative industries. She draws on experience in project management, product and business development and establishing customer relationships to bring unique insights into business strategy. Prior to ATP Innovations, Reba held a management position at one of the world’s leading hang glider manufacturers and previously worked as part of a production team on fashion advertising photo shoots.

 

Reba works with very early stage companies new to the ATP Innovations portfolio and administers 66 Meetups, a networking event for creative industry startups. She is the program manager for both Ignition Labs and Startmate and offers a unique perspective on seed accelerator programs and how to get the most out of them.

 

Reba holds a Bachelor of Medical Science (Biochemistry) and Diploma in Innovation Management from the University of New South Wales.

Anna Lise De Lorenzo

Engagement & Growth Strategist

Anna Lise is an experienced producer, project manager and business development consultant within the creative industries. As the founder of a company that works with very early stage design and arts businesses, Anna Lise has expertise in business growth strategies, community engagement, communications and experience in producing exhibitions, events and product design (including R&D and specialised small-scale production).

 

Anna Lise is involved in developing ATP Innovations’ community engagement strategies, connecting portfolio companies with professional development opportunities. She also works with very early stage companies as Project Manager for Ignition Labs accelerator and produces 66 Meet-Ups, a quarterly creative industries educational networking event.

 

Anna Lise holds a Bachelor of Design with Honours from The University of New South Wales, College of Fine Arts, and a Certificate IV in Small Business Management. Anna Lise is also a lecturer in design at the University of Technology Sydney.
